We mean this to believe that we will be received in Graceland. I heard a familiar song tonight (or really the hook), but under a different name, by a different band. First time Clash listener (thanks Mom!), “Ivan Meets GI Joe” from Sandinista! for sure.
It was my first time listening to The Clash, but on the first spin I recoginized the hook from “A Cause de Garçon” – the original is worth purchasing (Amazon MP3 link to the original Yelle release) as well, and here is the newly popular-on-grabb.it “Riot in Belgium Mix” – all these rad versions must mean something.
The Riot in Belgium mix “brings it in so many ways”, although the (awesome, thick) keyboard pads are a little loud for my American taste. there can be no single “perfect mix” of a song. that is why we have to hold all four versions of this song close to our hearts tonight.
